I really enjoyed Richard’s sermon on the power of a testimony. I knew him in the ‘70’s and was also in the Jesus People Army.
The account of conversion from drugs to becoming a Christian was great. My story was being very close to the Lord and hearing testimonies of what people’s life was like when on drugs. I was not on guard and very gradually developed a curiosity and fascination about the drugs people spoke about
I experimented and was away for about 25 years.
The beautiful part is I know in my heart of hearts what the Grace of God is. It took me a long time to receive it. I wasn’t worthy because of turning my back and taking a detour. I still do not “deserve” it. It’s a wonderful gift. I treasure the thought of seeing Richard and Valerie again.
