Below is the second letter from Osborne Obayo, giving an update on the situation in Kenya.
Hi Rev,
Greetings and sweet regards to you and your entire
household.
Thanks for your prayers…much has been availed.
So many messengers of PEACE have visited our nation
and as a result. On Friday of this week,(the popularly
elected “president”)- Raila Odinga will be meeting
president Kibaki in what most Kenya’s hope and believe
will be a turning point that provides a way out of the
social political and economic impasses for this
country.
We have also been out there ministering to the
afflicted and for a week GOD has used dad and i to
minister powerfully to people at the police
station, camps and even those who came to our home.We
Glorify God for this and trust that He will graciously
empower us to do much more.
Of the afflicted, the HIV/AIDS patients living in the
poverty striken slums and currently on medication were
hardest hit.Our support group in Dandora slums lost 2
adults and 1 child. Irene one of the event organisers
for the CHRISTMAS PARTY we had, died because she could
not get out of her house for a week, meaning she
couldn’t access a fresh supply of ARV’s,food and
water.Catherine, another beneficiary was beaten by
police officers and left for death when she ventured
out to look for food.Peter a 10 year old was found
dead in his mother’s…no explanation wa given. It
really hurts…but we have to keep the fire burning
and the light shining.
Continue standing with us…we sincerely appreciate.

Below is the first letter sent from Osborne Obayo regarding the situation in Kenya.
Dear PAPA Rich,
For the last 1 week, the nation of Kenya has literally
been on fire…as thousands of citizens take to the
streets, into looting and destruction of lives &
property as a way of protesting against the
government’s machination to rig out the popularly
“elected” opposition presidential candidate in the
just concluded general elections.
In Kisumu,Kakamega,Eldoret,Nairobi,Mombasa and the
surrounding areas -there’s been wanton
killings, lootings and thuggery as people vent their
“frustrations” mostly towards members of the “kikuyu”
communities (President Kibaki’s tribe) who apparently
are settled in almost every part of the country.
In Kakamega alone, more than 70 people are feared to
have died,in Kisumu more than 200 deaths are
reported,in Nairobi more than 300 people are said to
have been killed.Thousand others are injured and are
in critical condition.More than 100,000 families are
displaced are are seeking refuge in churches, schools
and police stations. In an instance, a church in
Eldoret was gutted down and more than 100
people, especially women and children are said to have
been burned beyond recognition. The Obayo family is
hosting several other individuals who have nowhere to
go to and no food to eat.We share Christ and in some
instances drinking water.
The government has moved in to control the media- and
we actually dont know much about what is happening in
other “interior” parts of the country…the situation
could be worse. There are efforts being made by
different institutions and people to minister LOVE and
PEACE in the country. This morning - my dad and i went
to visit some of the church members who are taking
refuge at the Kakamega police station with a hope of
comforting them and sharing God’s Love with them. The
Police were gracious to us and even allowed us to have
a fellowship with more than 100 families holed in
there. We gave out some clean drinking water, while DAD
shared and prayed with them.We hope that we will be
able to gather much more next time we visit.
Pray for Kenya so that God may intervene by softening
the hearts of “the two leaders” to allow mediation and
reconciliation between themselves and consequently
between members of the 45 Kenyan communities. We need
healing and restoration of what the devil is trying to
take away from this beautiful county of Kenya .
Yours,
Osborn obayo
NB
JOlly Jones is fine and healthy -we have not seen each
other but iam told he is at Barasa’s and he is strong
and moving on.
We appreciate your assistance and support- The
Christmas party for people living AIDS in Dandora
slums was great.A big success it was.We are planning
to start 5 new business units for individual members
and 1 income generating project for the group before
March 2008 and this will be by all means a turning
point in the lives of many.
(I’ll be sending pictures and reports later).

More Grace to You all.
I am grateful to God and to you for standing with this Nation in this great Hour of need. More Grace to You.
I Pastor a Church in the City of Nairobi, (City Centre) at the Eastern Gate and we have been involved in Praying for the redemption of our Land. We know God shall show Himself strong on our behalf.
Blessed Shimoneh 2008! Presently we are Mobilising A Major force as per the Prophetic Word on the Female Expression. The Set Time has Come!
We just wound up our 21 days of Prayer and fasting for the Church and Nation here at the East Gate. We do appreciate your prayers for us and this Nation at this time. I know you know the statistics over 350,000 displaced, Over 1000 killed, many maimed, houses property burnt etc however we are standing on the Prophetic Word declared over this Nation - A City of Refuge, The Centre of Grace and empowerment, A long distance endurance race finisher - who shall finish strong, The Favoured City in the Sun, A light house of the Gospel in Africa, etc. Kenya Must Be Saved! The Lord God Reigns. We shall not be moved!
We trust God will grant us Grace to reveal and exhibit His Grace and his fulness in our Nation. God revealed several things even before this ensued, yet as the Church we kept to our slumber. I am certain a Major Breakthrough is imminent. A major move of God shall be experienced here. As the Hebrew word for Eight (Shimoneh) connotes - Oil, Fatness, Superabundance we are raising a shout over Kenya - LET THE OIL SPEAK!!! Let the New Beginning Shine Forth! We shall be anointed with Fresh Oil (Psalms 92:10) More Grace to you. Shalom, Eirene. Thanks
