Kenya medical relief fundraiser

Good news!  We raised $5,100 for the upcoming Kenya medical mission during the rummage sale this year.   Thanks to everyone who donated to the cause and a big thanks to all of you who came by and helped out.  We have now raised over $17,000 to go towards the medical supplies and we are only a few thousand dollars away from reaching our goal.  Praise God!

This August we are sending a team of medical professionals to the nation of Kenya in order to set up medical camps that will bring aid to 6,000 people living in the slums.  They will be joining with a highly qualified staff of Kenyan doctors and nurses to form a team that will represent the largest endeavor that we have ever undertaken in our 12 years of involvement with the nation. Our goal is to raise $19,000 for the supplies and medicines needed to make this medical mission a success.  We are well on our way and have already raised over $12,000. In order to reach our goal for the additional $7,000 we are planning the following fundraisers.

  • Rummage Sale - On June 18-19 we will be having a rummage sale at the church (7758 Earl ave NW Seattle 98117).  There are a couple of ways you can help.  First of all we are asking for used items in good condition to be brought to the church by June 17.  If you need a pick up scheduled, call the office @ 206-781-5154.  Also, we need volunteers to help out at the sale.  If you would like to help with the set up, or tear down please contact the church office and we will give you more details.
  • Benefit concert and Hymn night - On Friday evening, June 25th from 7pm-8:30pm Richard Vicknair will be joined with his daughter Rebekah Metteer for an evening concert.  An offering will be taken to benefit the medical mission to Kenya.  The concert will be held at Creekside church (7011 226th Pl. SW Mountlake Terrace, WA).
