Dear Friends:
For those of you who don’t know Simeon Obayo: He is a Kenyan National who has been one of my best friends in this world for over 25 years now. We have grown up and old together! Through the years we have partnered together for numerous projects and outreaches in Kenya. Simeon’s 7 sons and daughters and their spouses are all dynamic Christians who are now heading up significant ministries all over Kenya. Westside Church and I are doing all we can to support them. I received the following e-mail from Simeon in Kenya a few days ago…

What do you think about Heaven?
April 4, 2008 | 7 Comments

According to a recent ABC news poll, 9 out of 10 people believe in Heaven. While belief is nearly universal, there are wildly different views of what it will be like. So what should we expect? What will we do for all eternity? And most importantly, why should we look forward to it? After all, the Bible talks so much about putting our hope in this life to come, but how can we do that without developing a clearer picture of this place we will one day call home?
We want to hear from you. What do you think heaven will be like? What are some common misconceptions that you’ve lived with for a long time? What questions do you most want answered about life in heaven? Post your thoughts and questions below and let’s discuss these issues as a community.
Remodel Celebration and Community Potluck

Westside Church Community Potluck
This Sunday at 1pm (following the 11am service)
We trust that you and your family are planning to join us this Sunday after the 11am service as we celebrate the completion of the downstairs remodel and dedicate it to the Lord. As you know we are taking one final offering for the cost of this project. We are still $10,000 short of our fundraising goal for the project. It has been my experience that God often blesses people financially to enable them to experience the joy of giving to His work. I believe that giving to this project is a very good investment in the Kingdom of God. These rooms will be place where many children and adults will be blessed for many years to come. Let me encourage everyone at Westside to do something, whether small or large, so that this will be an expression of true community and teamwork.
Blessings to you and your family.
Pastor Richard
